Public Tours

"an area of land and its buildings used for growing crops and rearing animals."

"a place where bees are kept; a collection of beehives."

Every year, many people ask about tours.  We have freely given a few tours to children's groups as well as many tour and tastings to adults coming to the farm.

This year, we will be charging a small fee for our time and presentation in an effort to assist us in keeping our farm growing forward.  We have organized things to cover costs and demographics.

Guests should dress appropriately for the farm tour they have chosen.  Everyone gets a bit of exercise on the rough trail through the maple grove to the cherry orchard, then on to the chicken coop, through the paths to the beehives and onward.  You may want to wear or bring old shoes or rubber boots early in the season or a sun hat if summer.  Mosquito and/or Black Fly protection may be necessary at certain times of the year.

Tours may be different on different days and times but most are a nice family or group outing.  Everyone gets to taste some honey and/or comb and there is refreshments supplied according to the tour taking place.  The adult only evening tours will have the option of mead tasting as well (depending on quantities of mead available).
